Overview

C-Class FitmentWithout AMG Guesswork

The standard C-Class recommendation starts from the actual W204, W205, or W206 chassis, not from a C63 stance photo. LFI checks PCD, centre bore, brake package, tyre diameter, road use, and hardware seat before production.

Generation Specific

W204, W205, and W206 use different offset and tyre-clearance logic.

Daily Usability

Sidewall, wet-road behaviour, ramps, and steering lock stay part of the specification.

AMG Split

C63 brake and rear-fitment content has been moved into the AMG C63 guide.

Engineering Proof

Load And TorqueChecked Together

C-Class wheel strength is not only a vertical load number. LFI reviews radial load, braking torque, cornering load, hub-pad stress, bolt-seat stress, and spoke-root reaction together.

690 kg Target

Strong road-use target for standard C-Class applications.

~1,400 Nm

Practical static torque-load reference for selected C-Class forged specifications.

Hardware Seat

Mercedes ball-seat and conical hardware requirements are checked before machining.

Load case What LFI reviews Why it matters
Radial vehicle load Vehicle mass, tyre package, and selected wheel load target Confirms the wheel is suitable for road use.
Torque load Braking, acceleration, bolt seat, and spoke-root reaction Captures forces a radial-only claim misses.
Cornering load Tyre grip, offset, concavity, and ride height Keeps stance and structure aligned.
Combined static load case Radial, torque, cornering, and hub fitment Protects the final specification.
Platform Warning

C63 IsNot The Shortcut

Do not copy C63 rear offsets into a normal C-Class. C63 arches, brakes, tyres, owner stance goals, and body clearance can be different from C180 and C200 road cars.

Testing & Validation

SpecificationBefore Production

Brake Envelope

Spoke profile, barrel contour, and backpad are reviewed first.

Tyre Diameter

Rolling diameter and shoulder profile are matched to the chassis.

Finish Direction

Concavity and finish are selected around the actual car.

FAQ

C-ClassFitment Questions

Are C63 builds still part of this C-Class guide?

No. The C63 content has been moved to the Mercedes-AMG C63 guide. This page now covers standard C-Class C180 and C200 fitment logic.

What bolt pattern does the Mercedes-Benz C-Class use?

The W204, W205, and W206 C-Class rows in this guide use 5x112. LFI confirms the exact vehicle before machining.

What centre bore should a C-Class forged wheel use?

Recorded C-Class rows use 66.6 and 66.56 mm references. Hub-centric machining is confirmed per build.

Can standard C-Class wheels be built without spacers?

Yes. LFI machines the required width, offset, and brake clearance into the wheel specification when the vehicle geometry allows it.

What is a sensible C-Class load target?

LFI positions 690 kg per wheel as a strong road-use target for standard C-Class applications, with more reserve reviewed where the use case requires it.

What should C-Class owners send before ordering?

Send chassis generation, model year, trim, brake package, current tyre size, desired tyre size, ride height, hardware seat, centre-cap preference, finish, and target stance.
