Owner Build Diary · Singapore BYD Sealion 7
A Singapore EV SUV build around LFI MF912 forged monoblock wheels, 19x8.0 ET26 square fitment, 235/50R19 tyres, native 5x120 machining, and a lighter daily-driver setup that keeps the Sealion 7 comfortable.

This BYD Sealion 7 build was not about chasing the biggest wheel possible. The owner wanted a sharper stance, a more technical forged-wheel look, and less wheel mass without giving up the sidewall and comfort that make an EV SUV easy to live with every day.
Keep the car usable.
The 19-inch direction protects ride quality, tyre sidewall, wet-weather confidence, and car-park practicality.
Machine the platform correctly.
The Sealion 7 is treated as a 5x120 / 64.1 mm CB / M14x1.5 application, not a generic BYD 5x114.3 fitment.
Reduce wheel mass properly.
Approx. 10.5 kg per wheel helps reduce unsprung and rotating mass without turning the setup into a fragile show-wheel build.
| Item | Specification | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle | BYD Sealion 7 2025 | Modern EV SUV platform with high mass and instant torque delivery. |
| Build reference | INV2025-9-2607 | Real LFI customer build reference for internal traceability. |
| Wheel model | LFI MF912 forged monoblock | Technical multi-spoke design with forged strength-to-weight advantage. |
| Wheel size | 19x8.0 ET26 square | Clean stance with predictable tyre rotation and daily-use handling. |
| Tyre plan | 235/50R19 square | Useful sidewall for potholes, ramps, wet roads, and comfort. |
| Platform data | 5x120 / 64.1 mm CB / M14x1.5 | Native machining avoids wobble bolts, adapters, redrilling, and spacer dependency. |
| Finish | Matte CQ01 with silver engraving | Subtle contrast that suits the Sealion 7 body shape without looking overdone. |
The MF912 works on the Sealion 7 because it matches the car’s clean EV body language without turning the build into a show-car caricature. The face has enough detail to sharpen the side profile, while the 19-inch sizing keeps the tyre package sensible.
From USD 355 per wheel
For a heavy daily EV SUV, bigger is not automatically better. A 20-inch setup can look stronger in photos, but the tyre gets shorter, the ride gets less forgiving, replacement cost rises, and the car becomes more sensitive to potholes, wet roads, expansion joints, and basement ramps.
The 235/50R19 tyre keeps useful rubber between the wheel and the road. That helps comfort, impact absorption, wet-weather feel, and long-term rim protection — exactly what a Singapore daily EV needs.
Using the same wheel and tyre size at all four corners keeps the car predictable. Tyre rotation, replacement planning, and future servicing stay easier than a more aggressive staggered setup.
Approx. 10.5 kg per corner reduces mass at the wheel, not just static vehicle weight. That helps steering response, suspension control, and the energy needed to accelerate the wheel-and-tyre package.
The wheel is built around the Sealion 7’s actual 5x120 platform data. Correct PCD, center bore, offset, and brake clearance are machined into the wheel instead of solved with adapters later.

The Sealion 7 is heavier than many petrol crossovers and delivers torque differently. LFI reviews hub pad thickness, spoke-root behavior, bolt-seat area, barrel support, brake clearance, and fatigue resistance instead of treating the wheel as a simple styling part.
The final wheel is planned around the exact Sealion 7 geometry: 5x120 PCD, 64.1 mm center bore, M14x1.5 hardware, ET26 offset, brake clearance, and tyre envelope.
The completed wheel package gives the Sealion 7 a cleaner stance and a more premium technical look while keeping the car easy to drive every day. The final fitment focuses on hub-centric compatibility, spacer-free offset planning, lighter response, and a tyre package that still makes sense for Singapore roads.

Yes. This BYD Sealion 7 MF912 forged wheel build was completed in Singapore and planned around local daily-use conditions including urban roads, wet weather, basement ramps, and multi-storey car parks.
This build uses LFI MF912 forged monoblock wheels in 19x8.0 ET26 square, paired with a recommended 235/50R19 square tyre package.
The MF912 wheels for this Sealion 7 build are approximately 10.5 kg per wheel, giving the EV SUV a lighter forged setup while maintaining strength for daily use.
A 19-inch setup keeps more tyre sidewall, which supports comfort, pothole resistance, wet-weather confidence, and daily EV efficiency. It is a strong choice for owners who want a cleaner stance without making the car harsher.
A square setup keeps the same wheel and tyre size on all four corners. This simplifies tyre replacement, supports easier rotation planning, and keeps the handling character predictable for daily use.
The Sealion 7 uses a 5x120 bolt pattern. It should not be treated as a generic BYD 5x114.3 platform.
The Sealion 7 platform reference uses a 64.1 mm center bore and M14x1.5 hardware. Hardware seat type and final compatibility should always be confirmed before production and installation.
Yes. A custom forged wheel lets LFI machine the width, offset, PCD, and center bore correctly from the start, so the car can run a cleaner spacer-free setup when the fitment is planned properly.
Lighter forged wheels can reduce unsprung and rotational mass, which may support improved efficiency and range. Actual range also depends on tyre rolling resistance, tyre pressure, alignment, driving style, road conditions, and vehicle load.
LFI needs the exact vehicle model and market, current wheel and tyre size, brake package, preferred stance, suspension condition, desired wheel model, desired finish, tyre plan, target wheel weight, and any load-rating or usage requirements.
Send LFI your market, trim, current wheel and tyre size, preferred stance, brake photos, finish target, and road-use priorities. LFI will map the wheel size, offset, center bore, PCD, brake clearance, tyre plan, and finish before production.
